ContinuitiHR is currently conducting a search for a Contract to Perm HR Generalist with a background in manufacturing and experience with both Union and Non-Union environments. This role will sit at the corporate HQ location in East Windsor NJ, but provide support for multiple manufacturing locations and report to the Sr. HR Manager.

Responsibilities:

Proactively build and maintain a positive relationship with employees and Union representatives.

Assist in the administration of the grievance process and provide support in labor negotiations.

Conduct workplace investigations and employee relations support promoting a positive, productive work environment.

Immigration administration.

Assist with Compensation and Benefits administration and assist employees, managers and retirees with questions and concerns.

Serve as main contact for employee relations - respond to questions, resolve issues, manage conflicts.

Manage employee discipline from warnings through the termination process.

Manage FMLA and other leave administration issues in coordination with line managers and payroll manager.

Coordinate Worker's Compensation process through claims management, employee advocacy and return to work management.

Champion plant safety and performance by driving a high performing safety culture.

<![CDATA[Contract Payroll Specialist ]]> This is a Temp to Perm opportunity for the right candidate - Our client is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team that has experience in Ultipro Core payroll/HR system and will own all aspects of the payroll processing, reporting and reconciliation process.

 

Responsibilities:

Continuously audit all deductions and taxes to ensure accuracy

Manager, enter and audit piecework payments

Generate reports to reconcile retirement plan contributions and deductions at each pay cycle

Document all immigration status changes and adjust tax deductions accordingly

Manage the GL Accounting Import File and reconcile with bank statements

Partner with Benefits to ensure all necessary HR input is received in a timely manner

Audit PTO usage and accurals

Make all prorated and retroactive salary adjustments

This position will handle a variety of activities involving reporting, policies, procedures, staffing, employee relations, communications, compensation and benefits.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of human resources experience in a variety of disciplines (Compliance, Compensation, Benefits, Training, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition and Communications, ect. requiring independent judgment and proficiency.
  • 2+ years of direct employee relations and engagement experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Strong knowledge of applicable employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, EEO, LOA
  • Proven ability to manage projects through to completion
  • Ability to work in a team environment; at times taking the lead and at other times taking direction
  • Ability to work independently on higher level projects
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in the handling of confidential material and information
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and overtime when required, to meet deadlines
