Job Description

ContinuitiHR is currently working with a client in the manufacturing space located in Exeter, CA on a Contract to Perm HR Manager in a non-union environment. This position is perfect for a "true generalist" that enjoys a diverse role that encompasses every facet of the HR space including employee relations, payroll, benefits, recruitment and compliance. This role will handle all employee and manager inquiries on policy, procedures, processes, complaints, and be a reliable resource of accurate information to employees and managers. This position requires excellent communication and problem solving skills as well as the ability to relate well to all levels of the organization to understand and resolve issues. This position will be responsible for setting the direction of and providing leadership of the HR function focusing on organizational vision and goals.


Ensuring compliance with California and Federal employment laws

Successfully implement projects and strategic initiatives that continue to ensure a company culture that aligns with company goals and retention of talent.

Responsible for talent acquisition/recruitment - lead and manage recruitment and onboarding

Foster a work environment that promotes and improves employee morale

Partner with managers to ensure effective communication and addressing the needs of the onsite employees

Partner with management to effectively manage employee relations issues as well as provide support in areas of coaching and disciplinary action

Successfully handle compliance documentation and communicate standards through a strong understanding of EEOC,ADA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA as well as Federal and local laws.

Maintain and develop job descriptions, as well as maintain employee documentation as necessary

Monitor and track benefit programs and complete legal documentation as needed

Ensure effective implementation and management of HR information system

Effectively research compensation and market data, gather surveys and ensure effective compensation philosophy


Job Requirements


Bachelor's degree required, in Human Resources or related field

6-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience (at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment)

SHRM-SCP certification is highly preferred

Ability to have difficult conversations using tact and professionalism

The ability to build and maintain effective relationships

Experience Processing Payroll a must

Familiarity with UltiPro is a huge plus
