ContinuitiHR is currently working with a client in the non-profit space located in Holmdel, NJ on an Interim Benefits Manager role.  This role will be responsible for the design, implementation, communication, and administration of all facets of the client's benefit programs as well as have depth of hand's on administration of 401(k) programs.  The length of this contract assignment will be approximately 6 months and the role has a high potential to convert to a full time position.  This is a 100% onsite role with no option for remote work.

 

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain direct relationships with all benefit plan vendors on administrative issues, including, communications, enrollment, and billing

Participate in annual open enrollment planning by providing analysis of employee requirements and market trends, and providing recommendations for alternative benefit plans/options

Draft regular communications on benefit programs for employees, and prepare and deliver employee presentations relating to the plans

Manage all compliance matters, including preparation of appropriate reporting, survey responses, and applications, where required

Manage 401k plan, audits, investment committee, filings, control group review, funding and true-ups to comply with 401k Plan

Manage health & welfare plans, audits, design, appeals, document approval, and communication to comply with respective plans

Works with Director Human Resources in ensuring compensation analysis is in line with organizational philosophy

Ensures compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements

 

 

College degree preferred, will consider experience and certification in lieu of degree

5-7 years' experience in a benefits administration role

Strong knowledge and understanding of federal regulations pertaining to medical benefits

Must have hand's on experience with FMLA, ADA, COBRA and other key benefit related programs

Proficiency in MS Office Suite required
