Job Description

ContinuitiHR is currently working with a client located in East Windsor, NJ on a Contract to Perm Employee Benefits Specialist position to start as soon as possible. This position will have responsibility for the communication and administration of employee benefit programs for retirees, employees and dependents. The successful candidate will manage group benefits programs ensuring compliance as well as the recommendation and implementation of modifications or new benefits plans.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and consultants to ensure continued service quality.
  • Assist in the development of union bargaining proposals for employee benefits and analyze union benefits demands. Prepare cost data for proposals and final settlements.
  • Implement, communicate and administer all US benefits programs, processes, and systems, including group medical, dental, vision, life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment, disability, state and federal leaves, employee assistance program(EAP), flexible accounts, pension plan and 401(k) plan.
  • Assure compliance with all laws and regulations pertaining to benefits plans including ERISA, HIPPA, ACA, FMLA, etc.. Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws regarding benefits, and communicates changes to management.
  • Work with legal to prepare and execute benefits documentation including original & amended plan texts, benefit agreements and insurance policies.
  • Plan, manage and implement annual open enrollment process. Manage annual benefits contract renewals, monitor and analyze the cost of benefits plans, assess utilization and cost drivers. Consistently work towards the delivery of appropriate benefits while minimizing costs.


Job Requirements

What You Need:

Bachelor's degree

CBP, CEBS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP one or more of these strongly preferred

A minimum of 8 years benefits experience in multi-site, multi-state environment of which a minimum of 3 years of experience in Benefits delivery required broad based and progressive experience in developing and implementing benefits programs.

Significant experience with 401(k), pension, and life insurance plans is required

Experience with Workday HRIS is strongly desired along with Advanced Excel skills
