ContinuitiHR is currently working with an exciting non-profit client located in downtown Los Angeles to fill a Contract HR Manager role. This is a broad based Generalist position with a specific focus on employee benefits and leaves administration. This role will report directly to the VP of HR and have at least one direct report. Our client is looking for someone with solid HR expertise with past experience in education/non-profit organizations.
Maintain and administer employee benefit programs and inform employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
Keep records of pension plan, vacation, sick leave and leave of absence, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
Document personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain handbook on policies and procedures.
Collaborate with Payroll, Staffing, and Performance Management, to ensure operations are effective and efficient.
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at personnel related hearings. Consult legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
